I challenge myself to follow the mediterranean diet until it's just a part of my life. And by the start of november to have reached or surpassed my 10% goal (194 lbs).

My body is all ready changing for the better and I can't wait to see more results!

Hi Pisceslady,

 

In addition to your Med diet, you may also want to consider the following tips:

 

Tip #1 – Do not engage in moderate exercise. Your appetite will increase immediately after your exercise. You are not burning much fat, but burning your carbohydrates mostly.  You are also building up muscles and muscles are 22% heavier.

 

Tip #2 – Do not engage in vigorous exercise. Your appetite will decrease immediately after, but will increase the next 3-5 days. You are burning 0% fat, and burning 100% carbohydrates!

 

TIp #3 – To burn those fats quickly, you should do light activity like walking, household chores, grocery shopping, carrying an infant, or even walking up stairs. Though light activity, you will lose 30-60% fat. Not bad!

 

TIp #4 – Drink sufficient water for your weight to reduce water retention and remove toxic waste. How much to drink?  Drink half of your body weight (measured in pounds) in ounces. 1 glass is about 8 ounces.

 

TIp #5 – Reduce your daily calorie intake. Every 500kcal you reduce a day will help you to lose 1.1 pounds or 0.5 kg a week. So have a diet plan that focus on food nutrition and regular meals. Cut down on those snacks too.

 

Follow these 5 tips and you will be soon on your way to burn that fat and lose weight permanently, without any drugs or supplements!

Thank you Anson for the tips. I will try them out... I had no idea that moderate exercise would increase my appetite and burn mostly carbs. I usually walk on the treadmill for 40 minutes every day. But I still seem to be losing weight very slowly (1 lb every week or every other week). But I'm still not really used to the diet yet... I probably only drink about half of the water that you suggest. And I eat 1600 kcals.

I’m 5 ft. flat, 133lbs, 20 years old. I’m not way overweight, but I do have more chub than I did a couple years ago. For me.. it wasn’t freshman 15, it was freshman 25! I am not very athletic and I never take the time to workout. I don’t eat very healthy either. I really want to get motivated to get into a healthier lifestyle. I’m afraid that if I continue at this rate I’ll keep gaining weight. I avoid going on dates with guys because I am embarrased to tell them I have stretch marks and that I’m very self conscious. I don’t like going to the gym because I hate when people look at me working out. Like I don’t know what I’m doing and I just feel like an idiot. How do I avoid cravings??
