195 lbs.

i slipped a few times,ok many, and i try to make better choices the next day.i just started a food diary 2 days ago and it helps.it puts into perspective what you ate and how much.i used to eat rice at least two meals a day,maybe even three if last night's leftovers were yummy.now i try and only eat rice at lunch time.will check back in a week.take care!

Today is the day.my weigh in.getting on the scale this am, i was feeling quite anxious. i made a couple of unhealthy choices towards the later part of the week and i know i gotta stray from that or else i will struggle with losing weight.  so here goes, my weight is now 193.Down 2 pounds and i am pleased with myself. my goal was to lose about a pound or two a week and im right on track. because exercise is not part of my losing weight regimen, i wasn't expecting to lose 5 or 10 pounds. i have to be realistic with myself and not set myself up for failure. i feel good although i don't see the physical results just yet. im on my way there and that's the best part.  have a good day everyone and good luck!

hi there , hay down 2 lbs, that's great, as long as the numbers keep going down that's all you can ask for, and as for making a couple unhealthy choices, it will get easier I PROMISE. I try and not stay away from any one food, because then that's when  all I think about is what I shouldn't be eating.And that's so crappy. A little bit of any thing won't set you back, but just a little, I  have a free day once a week, no tracking, I look forward to that day,it helps me keep track the other 6. Maybe try and save your treat for that one day,may be the day right after you weight in, that way you'll have all week to keep on track.I don't  know much about dieting, or will power, but I do know the power of positive thinking really makes a difference.I hope some of this might help,good luck.

hi ms courtney! i like the free day you mentioned but becuz i know myself,i don't think im ready to do that just yet.i will probably go overboard and stuff my face like there is no tomorrow.but wat i do like that maybe i can try is to treat myself to something small that i have been craving for after weigh in day.like sushi!hmmm...

good morning all! its been a week since my last weigh in...i now stand in at 190.5! that's 2.5 pounds down from last week! im still on track and happy. i will take the advice of miss courtney and treat myself to something yummy. im all smiles today.like in my previous post, although i have yet to see the physical results, im on my there.

i do admit, i still want to stuff my face with chips, chocolate, and rice...but i know the end result.is it worth it? no.

good luck friends and ill see u again in another week. take care and keep warm in this oh so freezing weather.

getting on the scale this morning, i was already anticipating a weight gain due to the poor choices i have made during the past week when it came to meal times.

so here it is, i now weigh 191.5, which is an increase of 1 pound since the previous week.

with christmas in a few days, lotsa parties and lotsa yummy food, i have to make healthier choices with what i eat and how much of it. see you all in a week.

Don't fret about gaining a pound once in a while. It is very natural, I keep going up and down all the time. I was 190 lbs when I started eating right and exercising and I lost 40 lbs in 10 months. My aim was to lose 1lb/week and I did it for 6 months. But after that it got tougher, my body started getting used to the same exercises, I guess. So in 6 months I lost 30 lbs and it took me 4 months to lose 10 more. I should lose 10 more pounds but I am happy with my current weight and I am more focussed on maintaining it rather than losing some more. Last week I went up 4 lbs and that really started bothering me but I watched what I ate and I am down 3lbs again.

Good luck to you, you will do it, just give yourself time, don't get impatient.

thank u foodlover for sharing ur weight gain and loss story with me. i hope i wont have to fight this 1 pound loss and gain battle every week.  my goal is to lose a pound or two a week. i dont exercise , i only try to eat healthy. i know i can lose alot more exercising but have just never got around to doing it though i talk about it all the time. sure i do a couple of leg lifts here and there but really nothing consistent.

can i ask what was ur starting weight?weight now?and goal weight?

thank u for your kind words.in due time i will reach my goal.just have to be patient and determined.

good morning to all of you. im back again for my weekly weigh in. its been a good week with xmas and all. did i slip a few times?yes i surely did.i went all out on xmas and ate like a pig. is dat wrong? no. i was thankful for all the food that He has given to us. i was in good company all of whom who had hearty appetites. so how much did i gain you ask? over this past week, i gained a whopping 1.5 pounds. i now stand in at 193. yes i gained. am i upset? not so much. i will be fine cuz i will just get back on track. my friends see you all in one week. wishing you all a very happy new year!!!

its starting off to be a great year. despite a 1.5 pound gain in weight last week, i have managed to make a few changes to my diet despite more food and partying on new year's eve. jumped onto the scale this am and was happy to see 192. wow! i lost 1 pound in one week. no complaints here. all smiles.

Now I´ve lost 13 lbs in 15 days and I´ve never been happier.
I´m not tired any more and I can walk in stairs without feeling 136 years old. I love this life, and I hope you love it as much as I am.

here i am for another weekly weigh in. started doing cardioke in past two days. cardioke is a combo of cardio exercise and karaoke (singing). builds stamina and makes me sweat. i don't normally get up and exercise. i just try to eat healthy.

jumped on the scale and it read 192.  i didnt gain any weight and i didn't lose any either. an accomplishment indeed. i will post again next week and see what cardioke exercise can do for my weight loss plan. take care all and good luck.

another week has passed and im here for my weekly weigh in. this past week i made unhealthy choices.  had fries two nights in a row and red velvet cupcakes. didn't even want to get onto the scale this am but i did. my eyes shot out when i saw 190.5! i did the math and i lost 1.5 pounds!  wow! i only worked out once this week. could this just be water weight im losing? again, im all smiles and i feel real motivated to stay on track.

good morning friends! im back for my weekly weigh in. i tried to eat healthy this week and I think i made some healthy choices. i did my cardioke workout three times this week. and although i sweated like a pig and was out of breath, that was a healthy decision i made to get up off my tush and start moving. how much weight have i lost since last week you ask? jumped on the scale this am and it read 190.0!  according to my calculations, that is a 0.5 pound loss. again, im all smiles .

at the 189 mark, my guy is treating me to something on my wish list and ladies, you all know how important boots are in a wardrobe. ive had my eye on a few already at the mall but soon it will be on my feet. yahoo!

good morning friends! another week has gone by. this week i have tried to eat healthy and for the most part, i think i have been doing pretty well.

this morning i was quite anxious to see what the scale would read...jumped onto that scale and saw 189! 189! 189! wow i thought! boots!boots!boots!  i lost another pound!im very pleased with myself. for the longest time i was at the 190-192 mark hoping to break into the 180's and im finally here. i couldnt be any happier right now.

  Wow u r doin sooooo well,keep it up.Ive started to hopefully lose some weight.my weight today is 12stone,i would love to get down 2 11 stone,but know this is going to be very difficult as i have unstable blood sugars due to my type 1 diabetes,I also have multiple complicationsthat hold me back a bit from doin wot i want  2 do.my hubby is gr8 and we have bin swimming 6 times in the past 2 wks and i have cut my food intake right dwn to bout 1200 calories a day.I hope I do as well as you are.this site iis soo encouraging.i love it.So as of 2day I am weighin in at 12stone.speak 2 u all briefly in a wkXXXX

how are you doing?  what is the equivalent of 12 stone to pounds?im not familiar with that.im sorry. swimming is a great form of exercise to keep you fit and also lower your blood sugars. a change in diet is healthy and might help maintain your sugars as well. im glad to hear your husband is supportive in your weight loss as its important to have a support system. i wish you luck. please keep me updated with your progress. take care and hope to hear from you soon.

im back after a long and busy week. came back from a party celebrating my nephew's 1st birthday last night. lots of fun and not to mention F-O-O-D!

this morning as i jumped on the scale, i closed my eyes and waited for a few seconds while my weight registered and it read 189.5.  YIKES! that's a half pound gain, but not so bad.im still in the 189's technically.

another week...here it is. a whopping 190! that's another 1/2 pound increase from last week. im slowly creepin up the scale once again and im not happy.

the upside to this whole thing is that i can change it. i can lower the numbers if i discipline myself more and watch what i eat. it starts again today. see you guys next week.

am back at eating healthy again. no rice for 3 days can sure make a BIG difference. did the cereal, boiled eggs and sandwiches. yippeeee!!! jumped on the scale this morning. it read in bright red letters... 188.6! according to my calculations, that's a 2.4 pound loss from last week and im real happy! here's to looking forward to a healthy week.take care and good luck my friends!
